I started working in my church nursery when I was about 12, and I’ve worked with children ever since. My first career was in Music Therapy, and then I switched to Music Education (elementary). My parents, 2 fantastic octogenarians, live next door; my husband and I have 2 teenaged daughters; my sister and her husband and 2 great kids live nearby, and the 8 of us visit DisneyWorld as often as we can!
I stopped teaching full-time in order to have more flexibility in my life, and more time for my family, but working as a substitute teacher wasn’t lucrative. So in addition to subbing, I’ve become a contract corporate flight attendant.
My family loooooves to travel for fun. And when we’re not scooting over to Florida, we head west to the mountains where we visit my husband’s family and hike. We also watch a lot of movies, read a lot of books, and play a lot of instruments.
Most recently, I started running, and I can’t get enough of it. I wake up thinking about whether or not the weather is good enough for a run and when my next race is happening!
